SUTT: Palin’s Resignation Speech

July 14, 2009

Microphone 09If Sarah Palin had created a customizable TypeTribe focus group targeting speechwriters, she might have been more clear in her resignation speech about how she can help her state and country better by stepping down. All due respect to the governor, but people enter politics to represent masses of people–once you leave office, you become one of the masses again. By diluting her speech with empty phrases on this topic, Palin diminished a much stronger and valid point she was making: That all of the lawsuits against her and her family were distracting her from doing her job and costing her state a lot of money for something that wasn’t its responsibility. Palin, you had a great point–why didn’t you just focus on that?

Should’ve used TypeTribe.
