SUTT: Jonathan Franzen’s “The Corrections”

BookIconIf Jonathan Franzen had created a customizable TypeTribe focus group targeting avid readers who subscribe to literary magazines, he would have omitted the one bad chapter in his book The Corrections. It’s one of the first chapters in the book, and it’s directly preceded by a conversation between two characters about how some novels start great and then have a really slow, tedious, boring chapter (a “hump”) you have to get over before you can proceed with enjoying the rest of the book.

Should’ve used TypeTribe.
